I had similar issue although my the max heart rate was correctly calculated at 170 (220-50) but I also did a ride where it went up to 175 (recorded as the max heart rate for the ride) but the max heart rate did not automatically adjust but stayed at 175. During a 70 minute hike yesterday there was almost no time when my 6X WHR matched the values from my wetted TickR strap. I could not check the TickR values whilst hiking, but I know the 6X was not raising heart rate for the uphill sections or lowering it as pace/ascent reduced.
